Dr. Robert Ford

When is the best time to see an orthodontist?
Whenever a problem is discovered or there is a concern. It is recommended that all children have an evaluation by age seven. A referral is not necessary.

What about fees?
Fees vary according to the nature of the problem and the extent of treatment required. We will be happy to discuss them with you at the initial examination.

What is the initial examination?
At the initial examination we will give you a tour of our office. We will do a complete exam and survey xj-ray along with digital photographs. At that time Dr. Ford will point out what problems, if any, exist and the recommended treatment time and length of treatment. There is not charge for the initial examination.

How long is treatment?
Treatment time is dependent upon the complexity of the problem and patient cooperation, and can vary from a few months to a few years. Average treatment time is usually 16-28 months.

How often must I be seen?
Visits during active treatment are about every seven (7) weeks. In retention the visits are about 4-12 months apart.
